Yerba Mate is tradtionally prepared and served in a hollow calabash gourd. The gourd is often times referred to as "mate" or "callebasse". The beverage is served with a metal straw*, which is also known as Bombilla. Our Mate Set is a great way to get started. It includes a gourd, bombilla and 100g Organic Yerba Mate.
The size of the gourd can vary - please let us know in the comment section during checkout if you prefer a smaller or larger gourd. We will try to match the size you are looking for.
