lol maybe you're supposed to boil the shit out of it? I just steeped with water fresh out of the kettle for a few minutes, same process and proportions as any other black tea, but this just misses the mark. I love a strong/medium-tannin, malty, slightly acidic tea with a lot of balance, and this was the opposite. The main note I taste is a weird, acrid black pepper flavor.
Just tried this for the first time. What a treat. A very gentle and smooth tea. I found that you need to let it steep longer than an average black tea, so be patient and you will be rewarded. It is not weak, but the flavor surrounds you, rather than biting you.
