(Fireside Blend) :
The smell of this tea is SO enticing, and I bought it based on smell alone. I am disappointed I got a full 100g (though, who can complain, at the price?!). The taste is very tart and tangy, so if that's your thing, then absolutely go for it. I think I would like it if it had much more actual rooibos in it, and fewer hibiscus and apple pieces. I might buy some plain rooibos, and blend it to get the right balance.
The last two sips were quite sour. I know it might be some peoples...cup of tea! But it wasn't mine.
Bring 1 litre of whole milk (almond milk, soy milk) to a steam on the stove. Crush ½ teaspoon of cardamom seeds (optional) with a mortar and pestle. Add to milk. After you see steam rising from the milk add 10 teaspoons of Masala Chai. Give one stir (don’t stir any more because stirring will release the bitter tannins from the leaves). Remove from heat source, cover and let it steep for at least 5 minutes. Strain, sweeten as desired and enjoy!!
